  • Considerable experience in and understanding of child protection principles and practice, an understanding of the legislative context for child protection intervention and an understanding of the intent of the reforms arising from the Wood Special Commission of Inquiry into Child Protection Services.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to elicit pertinent information, provide timely and relevant advice, and negotiate and problem solve.
  • Advanced skills in building and sustaining collaborative relationships, networking with a range of stakeholders, and the ability to understand processes, to foster flexible approaches to delivery of services.
  • Excellent analytical skills including high levels skills in risk assessment and decision making. Demonstrated experience in working with databases and computer software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both collaboratively and in isolation, in an environment of high and competing demands.
  • Current unrestricted Drivers Licence which is valid in NSW
