Selection Criteria
- Personal experience of caring for someone with a mental illness as well as a willingness to share this experience as part of your role
- Demonstrated knowledge of issues and concerns relating to a caring role
- Experience in developing and running educational groups
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Evidence of knowledge and commitment to the application of quality improvement and evidence based practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or willingness to undertake
