Essential Criteria

Vaccination: Category A
Checks: Working with Children Check and National Police Check
Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (NSW Registered Nurse – Division 1).

Selection Criteria

  1. Current registration with AHPRA – Division 1 registered Nurse. Minimum five years full time equivalent post qualification experience, with at least three years full time equivalent experience in breast cancer nursing and post graduate qualifications in Breast Care Nursing
  2. Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients/patients and with multidisciplinary teams
  3. Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes. Provide ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the utilisation of evidence based research
  4. Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and experience in the development of speciality education programs, coaching and facilitation skills to deliver to clients, carers, the community and health professionals
  5. Demonstrated clinical expertise in patient –centre consultancy with the ability to work independently and a willingness to work across different sites and travel to them for the requirements of the job
  6. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative to understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy
  7. Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues, problem solving, formulating new approaches and implementing comprehensive change programs and improvement strategies, including the ability to develop and monitor outcomes
  8. Experience in use of technology to create reports and documents
