The Role
 

The Staff Specialist Statewide Community & Court Liaison Service (SCCLS) is responsible for the provision of clinical services and clinical supervision to the SCCLS, which will operate in 57 local courts throughout NSW. These courts include Bankstown. Blacktown, Burwood, Central, Sydney, Coffs Harbour, Downing Centre, Dubbo, Gosford, Lismore, Liverpool, Nowra/Milton, Mount Druitt, Parramatta, Penrith, Port Macquarie/Kempsey, Sutherland, Taree/Forster, Tamworth, Wollongong, Wagga Wagga, Wyong, Inverell, Moree, Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Murwillumbah, Mullumbimby, Fairfield, Waverley, Newtown, Grafton, Maclean, Orange, Bathurst, Blayney, Oberon, Goulburn, Crookwell, Katoomba, Lithgow, Cessnock, Maitland, Muswellbrook, Singleton, Griffith, Leeton, Moss Vale, Albion Park, Picton, Queanbeyan, Corowa, Holbrook and Surry Hills Police Cells. This position will involve developing a system of contact with the courts to ensure high standard assessments and advice is being provided by the Clinical Nurse Consultants working in the court. This position will require occasional travel to these courts. 

Strong working relationships will be developed with relevant Criminal Justice stakeholders including Department of Justice, Police, DPP, Legal Aid and Department of Juvenile Justice, Local Health Districts (LHDs) and the Corrective Services New South Wales (CSNSW) after discussion and in consultation with the Clinical Director and Operational Manager SCCLS.
