The Role

We are looking for a qualified health care professional with:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• At least one full year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• A current NSW Driver Licence.

Our Registered Nurses perform reception screening and comprehensive health assessments all persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing management.

Bathurst Correctional Centre is a mixed-security facility for male offenders located in the centre of Bathurst, 1 hour from Orange and the Blue Mountains, and 210 kilometres west of Sydney. The complex serves as a reception prison for western NSW.

On-site you’ll find a close-knit clinical team led by a passionate & enthusiastic Nurse Unit Manager that encourages the development of staff. Working within the Primary care team, you’ll enjoy fantastic training & education opportunities all the while working alongside Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, Population Health, and Aboriginal Chronic Care teams.
