The Role

The position provides a wide range of advanced clerical, administrative and day-to-day support to the Director of Nursing and the Deputy Director of Nursing, The Forensic Hospital. The position plans and organises the administrative activities of the Directors, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner. The position has a dual reports operationally to the Manager Administrative professional reporting line Services and Director of Nursing and the Deputy Director of Nursing.

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

·        Adept at managing and prioritising workload and forward planning, including anticipating and responding to issues.

·        Extensive experience in Data Management and computer skills.

·        Adept at delivering results and achieving outcomes.

 

*A mandatory and comprehensive two-week, full-time orientation is provided for all new staff at Forensic Hospital. All days are paid. The next intake dates are on 23 March and 18 May 2026.

 

Our Location and Service

The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional, and high-risk civil patients. 

A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals provide care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency and acute care, to long stay and rehabilitation care.
