The Role
- To enhance the effectiveness of the mental health and drug and alcohol services within Adolescent Health by providing an expert patient centred nursing consultancy practice.
- The Dual Diagnosis Clinical Nurse Consultant (DDCNC) participates in patient care provision in Juvenile Justice Centres and actively liaises with Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN) staff across mental health, drug and alcohol, physical and adolescent health.
Essential Requirements:
- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Minimum five years full time equivalent postgraduate experience, with at least three years full time equivalent experience in adolescent mental health and/or drug & alcohol.
- In addition the employee must have approved post graduate Mental Health Nursing and /or Drug & Alcohol qualifications.
- Unrestricted NSW Driving Licence and a willingness to travel within NSW as required.
