About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The Medical Records Support Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and high-quality operation of the Medical Records Department. This position provides essential administrative expertise, drives the delivery of quality improvement initiatives, and supports accurate and timely reporting across the service. Working under the direction of the Record Control and Processing Manager, the role also collaborates closely with the Medical Records Manager to strengthen departmental processes and uphold excellence in health information management.

Ideal Candidate

  • Understanding of core Medical Records Department processes and legislative requirements, or a willingness to learn.
  • Proven proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Sound experience in the use of Cerner PAS and eMR systems to perform various administrative functions.
