If you answered yes, the SWSLHD Aboriginal Traineeship Program is for you.

 

The SWSLHD Aboriginal Traineeship Program offers you as a trainee:

  • A 12-month temporary paid work placement with salary above traditional trainee salaries
  • Opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification while being paid.
  • Culturally safe structured mentoring and support over the duration of the traineeship
  • Transition to ongoing permanent position on successfully completing the traineeship.

To be eligible to apply:

  • You must be 16 years of age or older, there is no upper age limit.
  • No prior experience in health care required
  • You cannot apply for a Traineeship in a Certificate that you have already completed

Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).  Do you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander?
