Join the Enterprise Data Governance Enablement team within the NSW Ministry of Health and play a key role in advancing Aboriginal Data Sovereignty and Closing the Gap reforms.
This is a unique opportunity to influence how NSW Health shares and governs data, helping ensure Aboriginal Communities, organisations and leaders have access to meaningful information that supports informed local decision-making.
Working across NSW Health and with partners across government, you will help drive system-wide improvements that strengthen shared access to data and support Priority Reform 4 of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.

- The Enterprise Data Governance Enablement team sits within the Office of the Secretary and is leading the transformation of how data is governed across NSW Health.

About the role
This newly created role will help improve NSW Health's ability to share data and information in ways that support Aboriginal communities and organisations.
You will lead initiatives that assess current data sharing capability across NSW Health, identify opportunities for improvement and drive practical solutions across governance, policy and systems.
Working closely with stakeholders across NSW Health, executive leaders and government partners, including the Department of Customer Service, you will support delivery of Closing the Gap (CtG) Priority Reform 4 (PR4) implementation actions.

What you will be doing
You will lead work to assess current data sharing maturity across NSW Health. You will identify gaps, and implement practical solutions across governance, policy and systems that improve shared access to data.You will be responsible for the development of, and delivery on, a targeted workplan and monitoring progress and risks.
You will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, across NSW Health, from those that are hands on with data to senior stakeholders. You will work closely with the team managing the Shared Data Access Service, and active collaboration with the Closing the Gap Priority Reform 4 (PR4) Program team within the NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS), will ensure your success in this role.

- Experience in providing data services, data analytics or data governance
- Understanding of the principles of Aboriginal Data Sovereignty and Governance
