About the role:
With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we’re enhancing health and wellness while developing your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.
You will be working with InforMH - A team responsible for data development, collection, analysis and reporting for NSW public mental health and suicide related services, and the analysis and reporting of data from the NSW Suicide Monitoring System (SuMS). In this position of Senior Systems Development Officer, you will work within a passionate team to directly support the NSW Health system and its services in using data to make informed decisions and to improve care.
Health Manager level 3, starting salary from $127,150 – $144,444 p.a. plus Super, with a 38- hour work week.
What you’ll be doing
- Use technical skills to design, build and support Microsoft SQL Server databases and systems to meet business needs.
- Provide reporting expertise from a technical perspective and provide ad-hoc reporting or data extracts from selected data collections as required.
- Provide support for InforMH information resources, investigating and problem-solving issues, and effectively liaising with eHealth and vendors as required.
- Manage the administrative processes of a number of databases and systems used within InforMH.
- Support other technical staff in the building, management and maintenance of data environments and systems.
About you:
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Demonstrated experience in developing reports using a variety of tools such as MS SQL and Power BI to meet business requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in analysing data with respect to data integrity, and demonstrated analytical, diagnostic and technical skills to support data quality and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience developing applications using contemporary software languages and tools.
- Experience in web development including ASP.NET, C#, Python (Django) and JavaScript would be an advantage.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant industry experience.
