About the role

 

eApproval is an online application which enables the end-to-end document management and workflow solution of all briefs, Ministerials and correspondence. The application enables NSW Health’s vision for a digitally enabled workplace with streamlined management of approvals.

 

We are looking for a Test Manager to be responsible for responsible for the end-to-end testing of systems under development and ongoing maintenance of the quality assurance processes to reduce development defects and maintain quality standards.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Provide leadership and direction to staff in program testing and quality assurance and effectively manage agreed service outcomes to ensure successful delivery and a performance-based, innovative, responsive and accountable customer-focused work culture.
  • Analyse detailed business requirements specifications (BRS) to develop testing strategies that reduce the risk of system outages and identify system defects.
  • Manage the administration of testing scripts (including unit, integration, capacity, system, user acceptance and release) to maintain compatibility with existing applications, hardware and devices.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of detailed test reports to describe testing outcomes and assist developers in the removal of defects.
  • Exercise strong management control of test projects, ensuring that each complies with the program test strategy including continual monitoring and evaluation of team performance in meeting project objectives, schedule milestones, through periodic test project reviews, site reviews, presentations and reports.

 

About you

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

 

  • A deep understanding of software development, testing methodologies and relevant technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, organising, and managing testing resources and projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • A strong focus on ensuing the quality and reliability of software products, adhering to quality standards and best practices.
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating potential risks related to the testing process and project schedule.

Provide an example of your experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment outlining your ability to analyse detailed business requirements specifications (BRS) to develop testing strategies and manage all strategic relationships relevant to the test project delivery including relationships with key internal and external parties
  3. Describe your experience and provide an example that demonstrates your transferrable skills to be able to work within a large complex Health organisation in administration of testing scripts (including unit, integration, capacity, system, user acceptance and release), lead the preparation and submission of detailed test reports to describe testing outcomes to maintain compatibility with existing applications, hardware and devices.
