About the role: 

The Whole of Health Program (WOHP) provides statewide leadership and expert support to Local Health Districts and Specialty Health Networks to improve access to care, strengthen service delivery, and drive sustainable health system performance. Through targeted performance support, system reforms, and strategic programs, WOHP enables NSW Health to meet key performance measures and deliver better outcomes for patients across the state.  

 

As a Senior Manager, Whole of Health Program (Health Manager Level 5), you will lead the design, development and implementation of bestpractice policies, programs and reform initiatives across the NSW public health system. You will provide highlevel strategic advice, project leadership and expert analysis to improve access to care and hospital service levels. The role also supports the Director by overseeing program planning, stakeholder engagement and statewide reform delivery to ensure NSW Health continues to meet the evolving needs of patients and communities. 

  

Health Manager Level 5, starting salary from $173,345.00 - $193,906.00 plus Super, with a 38 hour work week. 

  

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead the design, delivery and governance of complex statewide projects and strategic priorities that improve access to care and strengthen system performance across NSW Health.  

  • Provide high‑level strategic advice, analysis and reporting to support policy development, reform initiatives and improved hospital service levels.  

  • Drive collaboration and engagement with Local Health Districts, Specialty Health Networks and Ministry stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective implementation of Whole of Health initiatives.  

  • Support the Director, Whole of Health Program, by overseeing program planning, risk management and stakeholder coordination to achieve organisational priorities. 

  

About you:  
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:  

  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage change by effectively planning, delivering and overseeing all stages of the project lifecycle, including development, implementation, performance improvement, monitoring and evaluation.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience. 

  • Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex, multisource information, apply sound independent judgement in a dynamic interagency policy environment, and prepare clear, highquality analysis and reports.  

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, resolve challenges and deliver innovative, businessfocused solutions, supported by strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated experience in fostering a strong team culture, collaborative approach to achieving deliverables and working effectively in high performing teams and organisation.
