About the role

The Manager, Strategic Projects is responsible for coordinating complex policy, legal and technical advice around design of linked data assets and reporting across NSW Health for NSW Health Strategic Priorities and high-profile cross government and national data linkage initiatives and managing the provision of information to project committees and working groups.

 

Health Manager level 4, starting salary from $141,974 - $169,151 plus Super, with a 38-hour work week.

 

What you will do

 

  • Manage and coordinate complex policy, legal and technical advice from across NSW Health for high profile data linkage request involving cross-agency or cross-jurisdictional data.
  • Provide consistent, accurate and responsive formal and informal advice to support the NSW Government Human Services Dataset (HSDS) and related high profile, high priority human services data linkage initiatives, the National Disability Data Asset (NDDA) and Australian National Data Integration Infrastructure (ANDII).
  • Deliver high profile Data Linkage projects in collaboration with NSW and federal agencies’
  • Support the strategic research objectives of the Office of Health and Medical Research and the NSW Government.
  • Manage the CHeReL’s contracts with funding partners including the national Population Health Research Network and manage national and cross-sectoral strategic projects and initiatives.

 

About you

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

 

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
  • High-level knowledge skills and experience in Data Linkage, Government protocols and procedures, including Cabinet and inter-government protocols and processes.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience in writing and presenting a range of corporate and policy documents including reports, papers and briefing notes.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to analyse complex issues and formulate and coordinate responses and manage expectations.
  • Project management understanding and ability to manage competing priorities and delivery high quality outcomes in a high-volume environment.
