About the role

 

eApproval is an online application which enables the end-to-end document management and workflow solution of all briefs, Ministerials and correspondence. The application enables NSW Health’s vision for a digitally enabled workplace with streamlined management of approvals.

 

We are looking for an Application Specialist to manage the day-to-day operations of the eApproval system to ensure that it runs efficiently and effectively.  This role is also responsible for the overall service management which includes incident management, service request management, problem management, change management and configuration management.

What you’ll be doing

 

    • Provide second level support to end users and act as an escalation point to the support team for resolution of complex service-related issues, including liaising with eHealth NSW and/or vendor to resolve eApproval issues. 
    • Provide technical, configuration and associated application support, including coordinating and delivering the required support levels for complex and significant issues, problem resolution and change management in accordance with agreed service levels. 
    • Maintain system integrity by liaising with internal stakeholders to determine information needs (includes new item types, business areas request, business categories), establish and control systems relating to access and security, coordinate system updates and implementing data backups. 
    • Maintain and update technical configuration, business and application support documentation in line with agreed design principles, best practice and quality assurance processes as well as providing ongoing training to the support team for knowledge transfer with eApproval and associated systems. 
    • Review and analyse existing application design to optimise functionality, workflows and usability, including perform gap analysis, document business requirements, communicate specific enhancement requirements to relevant support teams/vendors. 

 

About you

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

 

    • Extensive experience in managing and supporting corporate information systems; with the ability to elicit, understand and translate business requirements into ICT solutions within a large and complex service industry organisation. 
    • Experience in ICT support and customer service role to troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis. 
    • Demonstrated high level analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions for an integrated environment.
