We’re looking for a passionate and highly skilled General Surgeon with subspecialist training in hepatobiliary surgery and ERCP to join the surgical team at John Hunter Hospital. Deliver excellent patient care while contributing to education, research and service development in one of NSW’s most dynamic health districts.
What you’ll do
- Deliver high quality, evidence based, patient focused surgical care across inpatient, outpatient, procedural and on-call services
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical handover and ward rounds
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement, risk management and clinical governance activities
- Provide education and supervision to junior medical staff, trainees and students
What we’re looking for
- Eligible for registration with AHPRA as a specialist in General Surgery and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS)
- Subspecialist Hepatobiliary training and experience at a consultant level, with ANZHPBA accreditation
- Procedural qualifications and experience in ERCP
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness and ability to participate in after hours and on call rosters
