About the role:

This role will see you join our Central Sterilisation Department (CSD), where you will provide assistance with the reprocessing of reusable medical devices from the operating theatres and other hospital units/departments.

To aid your success, comprehensive orientation and ongoing support will be provided, as well as various opportunities for further education.

Tamworth Hospital is a major referral hospital located in the northern region of the Hunter New England Local Health District. Recently refurbished to boast brand new, state of the art facilities, our 288-bed facility includes Intensive Care, rehabilitation services, a Brain Injury Unit, Diabetes Centre and high dependency unit.

Requirements:

  • Currently undertaking Certificate III in Sterilisation or willingness to obtain within 12 months

  • To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
