We’re seeking a highly skilled Spinal Orthopaedic Surgeon to join the surgical leadership team at John Hunter Hospital. This is a key opportunity to deliver advanced, patient-centred spinal care across adult and paediatric populations, while enjoying the lifestyle and professional satisfaction that comes with working in one of Australia’s largest and most dynamic health districts.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver high quality, evidence based care in elective and trauma spinal surgery
- Participate in the spinal roster for John Hunter Hospital assisting with paediatric, scoliosis, trauma and orthopaedic spinal surgery
- Contribute to teaching, research and multidisciplinary team development across the service
What we’re looking for:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Fellowship of the Australian Orthopaedic Association
- Completion of one or more post fellowship clinical positions training in reconstructive spinal surgery on adult and paediatric patients of at least 12 months duration
- Proven track record of orthopaedic spine management and treatment
