Our Greater Newcastle Mental Health Service is committed to delivering high-quality mental health care to our community. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team at Newcastle site. Our service focuses on a collaborative approach to mental health, promoting an environment of innovation and support for both staff and clients.


About your new role: 
As a Registered Nurse within the Greater Newcastle Mental Health Service, you will provide exceptional clinical care to clients and their families/caregivers. Your role will directly contribute to achieving the best possible health outcomes for service users. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing essential services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You must be capable of working both independently and within a team, maintaining high standards of care and professionalism in both settings.


Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, client-centered care within a mental health service setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families/caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with service protocols.
  • Participate in regular supervision, professional development, and training sessions.


You will be a current Registered Nurse with AHPRA who:
  • Thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly
  • Can bring expertise from a variety of clinical settings, making you versatile and knowledgeable
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrates autonomy, initiative, and efficiency when working independently
  • Is passionate about providing high-quality care while supporting the mental well-being of patients.
