John Hunter Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Post Graduate Fellow in Hand and Microsurgery. The successful applicant will provide high quality clinical care and specialty services in hand and microsurgery at the level of a Post Graduate Fellow, and participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Orthopaedic Surgery department at John Hunter Hospital and HNELHD as required. 

Applicants will:
  • Hold Fellowship in with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery/Plastic Surgery) consideration will be given to overseas doctors who meet the Limited Pathway for Short Term Training in a Medical Specialty Pathway and would be placed on the Medical Officers Award
  • Hold or be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHRPA)
  • Desire to continue working in the field of hand and microsurgery and have proven excellence in a research program
