About the role:
Step into a senior role where your expertise and independence will shine. Working Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00am to 4:30pm, you’ll take the lead in delivering high-quality physiotherapy care while advocating strongly for your patients.

This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team and liaise with other sites to ensure continuity of care. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist who thrives in an independent role while still being a key team player.

In this role, you’ll be well supported with guidance from a Level 4 clinician and regular clinical supervision. You’ll also have access to discipline-specific senior support and opportunities for upskilling through John Hunter Hospital, ensuring you can continue to grow and develop your clinical expertise.

About you:
We are seeking applicants with well-developed critical care skills and proven experience in managing critically unwell patients. The role will suit someone confident in working with multiple complex medical cases, applying their clinical expertise to deliver safe, high-quality care in a dynamic environment.

  • Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA

  • An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.

  • This is a Level 3 position. However, if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants, applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment.
