Patient Support Officer – South Ward (Stroke & Neuro Rehabilitation)

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Patient Support Officer to provide an efficient and effective administrative and clerical service within South Ward, Rankin Park Centre. As the first point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare professionals, you will play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality customer service through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.

Rankin Park Centre is a specialist rehabilitation facility within John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, NSW. It is part of the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) and provides essential rehabilitation services. As a Patient Support Officer in South Ward, you will be part of a close-knit, professional, and supportive team that values collaboration and excellence in patient care.

South Ward specialises in stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and neurological rehabilitation, often working with long-term patients. Your ability to build rapport, offer professional and empathetic support, and maintain clear and effective communication will be essential in this role.
