Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them
- Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Psychiatry, in acute, continuing care, community based and inpatient settings and sound knowledge of the application of NSW Mental Health Act 2007, NSW Mental Health and Cognitive Impairment Forensic Provisions Act 2020, the NSW Drug and Alcohol Treatment Act 2007 and commitment to State, National and Local Health District strategic direction, including commitment to a performance-based organisation
- Experience working at an Executive level across a complex matrix organization with Executive portfolios to lead and deliver on
- Demonstrated understanding and application of the Principles and Systems of Clinical Governance
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and experience working at all levels of the organization and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and partners
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and publish research as relevant to the position
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team environment
