Do Work That Matters

In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to executives, a mentor to a skilled analytics team, and a key voice in shaping strategic direction across the district.

You will collaborate with clinical directors, finance leads, and technical experts to ensure Hunter New England Health’s performance reporting is accurate, insightful, and deeply aligned with our mission to improve patient outcomes. Your leadership will help ensure that every level of care from policy to patient, is driven by data-informed decisions.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of critical performance and compliance reporting.
  • Oversee corporate data strategy and maintain the district’s enterprise data asset, the Local Reporting Solution.
  • Provide expert analysis and insights that guide executive planning, policy, and resource allocation.
  • Support the delivery of the district’s annual service agreement and measure the impact of key initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide a talented team of data managers, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Build partnerships with clinical networks, ICT teams, and the Ministry of Health to ensure alignment on strategic reporting and data use.
  • Translate complex data from local and state-wide sources (including the MoH Enterprise Data Warehouse) into meaningful insights that support decision-making at all levels.
  • Represent the finance portfolio with credibility and clarity, engaging with diverse stakeholder groups including clinicians, executives and NSW Health.
