About the role:
This exciting position, based in the Hunter Valley with a negotiable location, is responsible for leading and managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams delivering essential community health services across Scone, Muswellbrook, Singleton, Murrurundi, Denman, Merriwa, Cessnock, and Kurri Kurri. In this senior leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of allied health, nursing, and administration services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care across the region.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

You will provide strategic leadership, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture while optimising patient outcomes through evidence-based, best-practice care within professional, organisational, and ethical boundaries. With a focus on cost-efficient service delivery, you will manage financial and human resources, developing staffing profiles that meet community needs and lead continuous improvement initiatives. As the key link between senior management and frontline staff, you will facilitate two-way communication and uphold performance accountability.

  • Proven Leadership & Change Management – Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, driving performance, and implementing change strategies to support service delivery.
  • People & Financial Management – Strong capability in resource allocation, performance management, and fostering staff development.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across healthcare teams, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Confidence in using data to inform decision-making, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
