Where you'll be working:
The John Hunter Hospital (JHH) Physiotherapy Department proudly serves JHH, Rankin Park Centre (RPC), and Belmont District Hospitals (BDH). We also run a secondment program to John Hunter Children’s Hospital and various regional and rural sites across Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD), supporting workforce planning and enhancing service delivery. Our department is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred physiotherapy services and values the contributions of all team members.

About the role:
We are inviting applications from dynamic, flexible, and motivated Physiotherapists to join our team. Positions available include temporary full-time, temporary part-time, and casual roles. Successful candidates may participate in the JHH Physiotherapy rotational and secondment program, which offers valuable opportunities to gain diverse clinical experience across multiple sites.

Candidates should be prepared to participate in weekend, on-call, or public holiday rosters as required. An eligibility list will be established from this recruitment process for future vacancies.

Physiotherapists will benefit from a comprehensive training and competency program, supported by an experienced and specialised team of senior physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants. We are committed to fostering ongoing education, professional development, and involvement in research to support your career growth.

What we're looking for:
We seek Physiotherapists who demonstrate strong communication, time management, and organisational skills to deliver safe, patient-centred, and high-quality physiotherapy services across JHH, RPC, and BDH. You will work closely as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to holistic patient care.

Interviews will be conducted face-to-face at John Hunter Hospital on dates to be advised. While virtual interviews may be considered in exceptional circumstances, in-person attendance is preferred. Please note that alternative interview dates will not be offered once confirmed.

Requirements:

  • Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
