Where you'll be working:

There aren’t many places in the world where you hear the words “I love where I live” spoken daily — but you do in Taree, Forster, Tuncurry and the surrounding Barrington Coast.

We offer the perfect lifestyle: beautiful rivers, pristine beaches, lush green mountains, a thriving multicultural community, lower housing costs, and higher living standards. The business community is growing, supported by a new university precinct and diverse career opportunities. Located just three hours north of Sydney, two hours from Newcastle, and one hour south of Port Macquarie, this region offers a rare combination of lifestyle and opportunity.

This position is based within the Occupational Therapy team at Manning Base Hospital — a small, supportive team fostering a collaborative and positive working culture.

About the role:

In this role, you’ll provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services to patients and their families/carers across a variety of clinical caseloads, based on your experience and learning goals. The team values holistic, person-centred care, and you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary team members to plan and deliver therapy in partnership with patients and carers.

There may be occasional requirements to work at other sites across the Lower Mid North Coast sector. You’ll be supported by the Occupational Therapy Department Manager and the wider team. Orientation and onboarding will be tailored to your experience, with regular clinical supervision, access to clinical specialists, and opportunities for continuing education. You’ll also be part of a connected network of Occupational Therapists working across the region.

About you:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable Occupational Therapist who brings energy and commitment to patient care. You will be:

  • Motivated and reliable
  • Committed to professional development and clinical supervision
  • Willing to work across a 7-day roster
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Passionate about improving the quality of life for patients through collaborative care

Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
  • Willingness to work flexibly across sites and rosters as required
  • Commitment to person-centred care, clinical development, and multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients, families, and health professionals
