Muswellbrook Hospital is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Dialysis Unit, where you will work in a collaborative, patient-centered team to provide quality care to the Upper Hunter community. Muswellbrook Hospital is part of the Hunter Valley Sector within the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). We offer a range of public health services, including a satellite dialysis unit with 6 chairs. Our hospital is committed to fostering growth and development for all staff, providing opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge while making a positive impact on the community.
The dialysis unit operates Monday to Saturday with day shift rosters, and our hospital provides 24/7 access to medical officers. We offer the opportunity to expand your experience in a variety of areas depending on your background.
About the role:
As an Enrolled Nurse in the Dialysis Unit, you will work alongside a Registered Nurse and be supported by the Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Educators, and the Renal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with recent haemodialysis nursing experience to further develop their skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
A typical day will involve:
- Providing direct care to patients undergoing haemodialysis
- Working within a team to ensure the safe delivery of care
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including Registered Nurses, Renal Nurse Practitioners, and Renal Satellite Manager
- Ensuring that patient care is individualized and patient-centered
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development to ensure best practice in the delivery of care
About you:
The ideal candidate will have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse, with medication endorsement on their registration. They will also bring post-registration experience in a hospital setting, demonstrating strong clinical assessment skills.
