Where you’ll be working
Nestled on the banks of the Manning River, Taree is one of regional NSW’s best-kept secrets. Just 30 minutes from stunning beaches like Old Bar, Forster/Tuncurry and Diamond Beach, and on the gateway to Barrington Tops’ waterfalls and rainforest hikes, it’s the perfect balance of coastal charm, country serenity, and community spirit. More space, less stress, and a welcoming town make Taree the ideal location to live, work, and raise a family.

Manning Hospital’s progressive Perioperative Department is equipped with three operating theatres, a dedicated endoscopy room, and an eight-bay PACU with a modern day stay unit. Here, you’ll be part of a team that combines clinical excellence with supportive teamwork in a regional setting.

About the role
No two days are the same in this busy unit. You’ll rotate through scrub, scout, anaesthetic, and PACU nursing roles, supporting a broad range of procedures including endoscopy, general surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, urology, obstetrics and gynaecology. With 34 theatre lists per month and a structured roster covering seven days a week (including after-hours on-call), you’ll enjoy both variety and routine.

Your day will begin with a clear role assignment and theatre list, ensuring purpose and direction in your shift. Best of all, you’ll never work in isolation – this is a team that thrives on collaboration and support.

About you
We’re seeking nurses who are motivated, team-oriented, and eager to grow in the perioperative field. You’ll bring excellent communication skills and a commitment to safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
