About the role:
No two days will be the same in this Level 3 Dietitian role. You’ll be delivering expert, patient-centred nutritional care across a broad and varied caseload in an acute care environment. Your work will be guided by best-practice standards set by Dietitians Australia, Hunter New England Health, and other relevant bodies, with a strong focus on delivering care that is holistic, evidence-informed and impactful.
You will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff, sharing knowledge and helping shape the future of the profession within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
A typical week might include:
-
Providing nutritional assessments, interventions, and reviews for a diverse case mix across medical, surgical and other acute care areas
-
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care
-
Supporting and guiding less experienced Dietitians and students
-
Participating in departmental projects or quality improvement activities
-
Staying up to date with current evidence and contributing to best-practice innovation
-
Engaging in supervision, reflective practice and ongoing professional learning
You’ll be fully supported as you settle into the role with a comprehensive orientation program and professional practice supervision from within the team.

-
Highly motivated and proactive in their work
-
Confident in managing a varied and sometimes fast-paced caseload

Committed to upholding high standards of care and contributing to a positive, supportive workplace culture
Some things can be learned – we’re here to support your growth. But we’re looking for someone who brings the right energy, initiative and commitment from day one.
Requirements:
