Why this role is such a great move
If you love being the calm in the chaos, the organiser in the background and the cheerleader lifting clinical teams to their best, this role is your sweet spot. As the Clinical Nurse Manager and Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery, you’ll be the glue that holds the big picture together. You’ll work closely with NUMs, Clinical Nurse Educators and the Health Service Manager to keep things running smoothly, make smart improvements and help the whole facility shine.

What you’ll be doing
Your days will be a mix of leadership, problem solving and genuine connection. You’ll guide Quality and Work Health and Safety projects, support clinical recruitment and help roll out programs that make care safer, easier and more effective for everyone. One moment you’re brainstorming solutions with educators, the next you’re walking the floor checking in with teams or planning strategies with the HSM. You’re the person who keeps momentum going, helps people feel supported and brings a steady, positive energy to every interaction.

Where you’ll be working
Welcome to Inverell, Australia’s Sapphire City. It’s charming, historic and set on the beautiful Macintyre River. On your days off, you can fossick for gemstones, grab a great coffee in town or cruise through the countryside. With quick flights to Brisbane and easy access to Sydney and Melbourne, it’s the perfect mix of rural calm and real convenience.

Inverell Hospital itself is full of life. With an ED, Renal Dialysis Unit, In Patient Unit, Maternity and Surgical Services, every day brings something new. You’ll be surrounded by a hardworking and warm team that includes everyone from nursing students to midwives, all focused on delivering care that genuinely makes a difference.

Why you’ll love it
You’ll be stepping into a role that blends leadership with purpose, backed by a supportive management team and guidance from Quality and WHS experts. You’ll have space to grow, support to thrive and the chance to leave a real mark on a hospital that genuinely values strong, thoughtful leadership.

If you’re ready to step up, shape change and make Inverell an even better place to work and receive care, this role is calling your name.
