This is a rewarding role where your expertise will make a lasting difference in the lives of parents and young children, while you receive strong support, ongoing professional development, and opportunities to extend your practice.

About the Role

As a Child and Family Health Nurse/Midwife, you will work in close partnership with families to help them identify and achieve their goals, always keeping the baby’s wellbeing at the centre. The program involves sustained home visiting from pregnancy until the child’s second birthday, combining health and developmental assessments with ongoing family support.

You’ll also:

  • Conduct assessments in line with the Personal Health Record (PHR) schedule, using evidence-based tools.

  •  Participate in weekly case reviews and consultations with a multi-disciplinary team.

What’s in it for You

You’ll be well supported in this role. Orientation is provided at commencement, and you’ll be backed by the Manager for Child and Family Services, Allied Health team, and nursing colleagues.

All nurses in the program are required to complete the Advanced Nurse Practice (ANP) Course, and you’ll be supported every step of the way with training days, case study assessment, and guidance from a dedicated ANP Course Coordinator. You’ll also benefit from:

  •  Regular supervision and peer support.

  • Ongoing professional development opportunities.

  • A team environment that values reflective practice and continuous learning.
