Where you'll be working 
Armidale Rural Referral Hospital provides acute care services to Armidale and surrounding towns. Located in the heart of the New England High Country, Armidale is a picturesque regional city with tree-lined streets, heritage architecture, and 19th-century churches. It’s a serene yet connected location—just 5.5 hours from Sydney by road, 90 minutes from Tamworth, and with daily flights between Sydney and Armidale.

About the role
As an Enrolled Nurse at Armidale Hospital, you’ll:

  • Work across multiple units, providing warm, person-centred care to patients and their families.
  • Be the calm in the chaos—keeping patients, families, and colleagues informed and supported.
  • Uphold culturally respectful, values-driven, and safety-smart practices, even when priorities collide.
  • Assist patients in understanding their care and making informed choices.
  • Support and collaborate with a friendly, multidisciplinary team.

You’ll receive thorough orientation for each unit and ongoing support from the Patient Access Manager and Clinical Nurse Educators.

Requirements 

  • Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed where applicable) with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.

Additional Information 

  • To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
