About the job:
This Allied Health Assistant traineeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in Allied Health Assistance while getting hands-on experience. Under the supervision of Allied Health professionals and support staff, you will assist the team with clinical and non-clinical tasks. This may include patient one-to-one sessions, group exercise classes, setting up equipment, and maintaining treatment areas. The Allied Health team will provide you with dedicated support and time to complete your Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance.

You will have unique learning opportunities to explore various Allied Health career paths within Hunter New England Health. This traineeship is ideal for recent school leavers looking to gain a valuable qualification in a health-related field.

As part of the Armidale Physiotherapy team, you'll be embraced by a friendly, collaborative atmosphere working alongside both Physiotherapists and other Allied Health Professionals. You'll have supervision and support provided from the Physiotherapy team, who are very eager to help you learn and grow as a professional during your traineeship.

Requirements:

  • Need to have completed Year 10 at a minimum.
  • Applicants need to have finished school within the last 12 months.
  • Willingness and capacity to complete a Certificate III/IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support or Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance qualification throughout the traineeship program.
