Where you'll be working
Under the supervision of staff specialists, provide clinical management and medical treatment services to patients of the Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services (DACS) within the scope of practice granted by the Hunter New England Health Local Health District (HNELHD) Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
What you'll be doing
Under the supervision of staff specialists, provide clinical management and medical treatment services to patients of the Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services (DACS) within the scope of practice granted by the Hunter New England Health Local Health District (HNELHD) Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
- Experience in addiction medicine treatment.
- Demonstrated non-judgmental and caring approach to people with drug and alcohol related problems.
- Demonstrated understanding of harm reduction approaches for people with substance use problems and other co-morbidities.
- Sensitivity to the diversity of clients and client needs, including recognition of family members and others associated with the client.
- Computer literacy skills including experience in using medical records software.
