Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

 

We are seeking a motivated Ward Clerk to join our team and support Ward D4C at Nepean Hospital.

This role is perfectly suited to a customer service driven individual who is passionate about improving the patients’ journey while also providing support to our frontline healthcare professionals at a high standard. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in performing their duties, and will possess excellent communication skills, acting as a first point of contact, including telephone and email enquiries, as well as in-person contact with clients.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Demonstrated clerical experience and knowledge, including reception experience, written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  2. Demonstrated effective customer service skills
  3. Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills
  4. Demonstrated experience using Windows based software including databases and experience in using MS Word and Excel
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment and be flexible and adaptable
  6. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and privacy including ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
