Join Moree District Hospital’s Emergency Department as a Clinical Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and lead a dedicated team committed to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care to those in your community who need support the most.
As the NUM, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across the unit, ensuring exceptional clinical outcomes, supporting staff development and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture. This is an exciting opportunity to influence service delivery, champion innovation and drive continuous improvement while making a meaningful difference to patients, families and staff every day.
You won’t be working alone. You will be supported by the Health Service Manager, as well as the other members of the multi-disciplinary Emergency team. The ED team are known for its friendly and close-knit environment, where everyone looks out for each other. They are excited to bring you into the fold!
As our new ED NUM, you will:
⭐ Provide clinical, operational and professional leadership for the nursing team.
⭐ Coordinate safe, efficient and patient-centred care across the unit.
⭐ Lead workforce planning, rostering, performance management and staff development.
⭐ Manage human, financial and physical resources to achieve service and organisational goals.
⭐ Foster a positive workplace culture built on collaboration and continuous improvement.
Essential criteria:
✅ Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and extensive experience in emergency nursing
✅ Possession of post graduate qualifications in clinical leadership or management or currently enrolled in same or combination.
