With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we're enriching health, and develop your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.

Achieve Something Great
Step into a role where your expertise directly shapes safer, more equitable care for women and families with complex needs. As the BANYAN Equity Team Clinical Nurse Educator, you will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of child and family health nursing education that strengthens best practice across a multidisciplinary team. Your work will support the BANYAN Equity Model’s mission to reduce health inequities through a continuity-of-care approach tailored to priority populations. You will play a pivotal role in improving outcomes from pregnancy through the first five years of a child’s life, while contributing to service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives aligned with SWSLHD’s Transforming Your Experience strategy.

Are You the Right Fit?
This role is ideal for a clinician educator who thrives on collaboration, critical reflection, and empowering others. You bring strong leadership capabilities, a commitment to adult learning principles, and the confidence to mentor staff across varying levels of experience. You are comfortable navigating complex family situations, including trauma, domestic violence, and child protection concerns, and you uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and ethical practice. If you are passionate about building capability, driving positive change, and supporting vulnerable families through compassionate, evidence-based care, you will excel in this role.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

1. Current Nursing registration National Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), and relevant postgraduate qualifications related to the specialty area of Child and Family Health, with at least 3 years recent clinical experience working with children and their families or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate.
2. Demonstrated understanding of and experience providing evidence-based health promotion, assessment, prevention and early intervention services to children and their families, particularly those experiencing vulnerabilities.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development of clinical management plans in consultation with health and social services.
4. Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision-making, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and within an interagency context to provide high quality integrated care to children and families.
5. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
