This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata’d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.

What you'll be doing- Provide safe and compassionate nursing care to infants and children, and parents, carers and families in a primary health care model to assist families to transition to parenthood, build on strengths and ameliorate identified risks that may contribute to the development of problems in infants and later on in life.
- Partner with clients and carers to enhance family and social functioning
- Contribute to quality health care through life-long learning and professional development
- Implement and conduct annual immunisation programs for target groups and communities

- Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with postgraduate qualifications in the speciality of Child & Family Health.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with families utilising evidence-based models of care and approaches that are supportive and inclusive with an early intervention focus.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in planning, coordinating and evaluating education programs.
- Current immunisation accreditation.
- Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait, Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Demonstrated intermediate computer skills, effective interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team and a capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Current c-Class licence and willingness to travel to communities in rural and remote locations.
