What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for the provision of the highest possible standard of food service for the Health Service within the Health Service's budget.
  • Plan, organise and control the functions of all staff in the catering department including roster preparation and sign off on HealthRoster.
  • Maintain records for food items accounts and prepare for approval.
  • Assist in exercising budgetary control over expenditure to obtain the most effective economical service possible.
  • Undertake continual monitoring of food with checks throughout the Health Service and monitor actual production and work place procedures.

About Broken Hill

How to apply 
To be considered for this position please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible:

  1. Demonstrated working knowledge of HACCP principles and guidelines.
  2. Demonstrate working experience in Catering and Management roles.
  3. Experience / knowledge of CBOARD system or similar software programs / systems.
  4. Demonstrated excellent communication skills ie written and verbal.
  5. Demonstrate understanding of EEO, safe work practices and WHS requirements.
  6. Demonstrated working experience with computers, (i.e. Word, Excel and Spread sheets).
  7. Demonstrate working knowledge of Infection Control Guidelines.
  8. Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and/or relevant professional standards where applicable.
