This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata’d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

What you'll be doing
- Perform safety and performance checks, preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of electronic, electrical or electromechanical medical devices to ensure the safe use and operation to Australian Standards.
- Perform routine mandatory testing & inspections of medical equipment to Australian Standards.
Perform day to day service, trouble shooting, diagnosis and repair of fault conditions in medical equipment. - Maintain equipment database, service records & test results.

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
- Certificate in Electronics and Communications or equivalent, or other qualifications and work experience in the Biomedical field, deemed to be acceptable by the employer.
- Proven analytical skills in fault finding and problem solving in electrical and electronic equipment.
- Proven time management skills, ability to prioritise workloads and work unsupervised
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software and database applications.
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current drivers licence and willingness to travel for work purposes.
- Ability and willingness to undertake further training and education in Biomedical Engineering and/or associated disciplines online and in own time.
