About the Opportunity
As a Business Resilience Specialist within SDPR, you will help build and embed Business Continuity Planning and Crisis Management capabilities that ensure critical services remain operational during disruptive events.
You will work hands-on with stakeholders across the organisation to conduct business impact assessments, develop and maintain continuity plans, and lead crisis exercises that prepare teams for real-world scenarios. This role also focuses on driving awareness and education through workshops and training, making resilience a core part of our culture.
You will collaborate with Working Groups and Cross Functional Area teams from within the Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA) as well as partnering with NSW Health Entities to guide them in their preparations for system downtime readiness arrangements for the SDPR.
In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), conduct impact assessments, and review policies to standardize continuity arrangements.
Facilitate crisis management exercises, awareness workshops, and stakeholder engagement to uplift resilience and readiness.
Maintain and update response plans, quick reference guides, and downtime collateral for SDPRIA systems.
Coordinate collaboration across BCP Working Groups, cross-functional teams, and NSW Health stakeholders, ensuring integration with ICT Disaster Recovery.
Support organisational readiness through education, scheduling, and tracking key milestones and deliverables for continuity programs.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Experienced in Business Continuity Planning and Crisis Management in complex environments.
Holds relevant certifications in business continuity or related fields.
Skilled in analyzing business impact assessments and linking continuity with ICT disaster recovery.
Strong communicator and collaborator, adept at stakeholder engagement and training delivery.
Adaptable, tech-savvy, and aligned with NSW Public Sector Capability Framework.
You will succeed in this role if you:
Enjoy working in an environment where no two days are the same.
Are motivated by tight deadlines and problem solving on the go.
Can juggle multiple priorities while staying calm and outcome focused.
