About the Opportunity
We're looking for a Clinical Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain clinical data solutions using Cerner Command Language (CCL) and related tools. You'll use your deep understanding of clinical data models to build scalable, reliable systems that support reporting, analytics, and integration. Collaborate with stakeholders, ensure strong documentation, and help drive impactful healthcare insights through technology.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop and maintain clinical reports and data extracts using Cerner Command Language (CCL) or similar SQL derivative, including the development of supporting scripts on Linux.
- Apply expert knowledge of the Cerner Millennium data model to accurately interpret, extract, and transform clinical data for reporting, analytics, and data integration purposes.
- Provide expert-level technical, configuration, and support for CCL, including coordinating and delivering the required support levels for complex issues, problem resolution, and change management in accordance with agreed service levels.
- Design, develop, and maintain generic, reusable data models that simplify highly complex clinical data to enable consistent reporting, analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Perform critical incident management collaboratively with support team staff and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across clinical, technical, and business domains to gather and analyse requirements, then translate them into reliable, maintainable code and solutions that meet organisational objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing to support continuity, onboarding, and ongoing maintenance of developed solutions
About You

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
