What you’ll be doing
The Project Support Officer, Clinical Trials and Research Ethics undertakes a range of operational and high-level administrative activities to support and co-ordinate the delivery of work across the Clinical Trial Program and PHSREC team, including the NSW Cancer Plan objectives. This role will develop and maintain key relationships with external clinical trial stakeholders.
Remuneration/Benefits
In addition to base salary:
11.5% superannuation
4 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading)
10 days sick leave
40 hours per week which include accrual of monthly Allocated Day Off (ADO) x 12 per year.

Essential requirements
- Strong understanding of project and program operations, with relevant qualifications or experience in a related field.
- Proven ability to provide effective customer service, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in managing digital records and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn other digital systems.
- Experience in improving administrative processes is highly desirable.
- Availability to provide secretariat support for occasional evening meetings is desirable.
Pre-screening questions
1. Please describe a data-related project you have worked on. How did you maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the project? How did you engage and communicate with stakeholders? How did you balance this work with other responsibilities and manage competing priorities?
2. Please describe a time when you guided a client or customer through resolving a problem. How did you communicate with the client or customer? What tools, resources, or references did you use to assist in solving the issue? Whether the issue needed to be escalated, and if so, how did you handle the escalation? How was the problem ultimately resolved?
