The Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) is committed to providing leadership in safety and quality to improve health care for patients in NSW. What you'll be doing
The Associate Director, Strategic Operations is responsible for establishing and implementing frameworks and sustainable business processes to increase visibility and governance of CECs programs, projects, and core foundational work activities. The Associate Director will coordinate development and implementation of CEC’s strategy, provide expert program and project management support to accelerate delivery where required and coordinate resources to focus on the right activities at the right time, reducing duplication and creating opportunities for collaboration and efficiency in CEC’s performance.
The Associate Director holds a senior leadership role within the Corporate Services team and provides oversight of the statewide and internal policy development functions, as well as strategic and annual planning, performance monitoring, reporting and environmental sustainability for the organisation. The position also oversees collaboratively with the Chief Executive support staff the governance and processes of the CEC Board and Finance and Performance sub-committee.

Remuneration: $166,678.00 – $186,448.00 per annum, plus superannuation

Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in providing expert project delivery and/or relevant healthcare management experience in a complex organisation.
- Highly developed strategy and program management skills to ensure the effective coordination of strategic objectives, implementation and reporting requirements across a large, complex organisation.
- Proven experience in project and change management methodologies and delivery with strong analytical, organisational and conceptual skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation skills with a demonstrated strong ability in business and strategic writing skills to prepare and present high-quality reports, presentations, and briefings, both internally and externally to the organisation.
