The Clinical Research Centre (CRC) Clinical Trial Coordinator is pivotal to the coordination of safe patient care with an understanding of the 'children first & foremost' philosophy to ensure optimum service delivery. The Clinical Trial Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the smooth delivery of a fast-paced and dynamic portfolio of commercial, collaborative and/or investigator-initiated clinical trials, in compliance with the relevant legal, ethical, regulatory, and clinical guidelines across SCHN and in Australia. The primary purpose of this role is to contribute actively to the provision of high-quality research activities at the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN). 

The Clinical Trial Coordinator will support Investigators and relevant industry stakeholders to coordinate the delivery of complex clinical trials and other clinical research trials, and coordinate trial activity for these patients. The Clinical Trial Coordinator supports investigators located in various clinical departments to run their clinical research according to the protocol and all regulatory and local requirements, within set timelines and budget. Coordinators are responsible for managing all aspects of clinical research from planning through to implementation, participant enrolment and management, study conduct, data management , study close-out and archiving.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience in clinical trials, or a combination of study and work experience
  • Developed and effective written and verbal communication skills with interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work autonomously across all aspects of a clinical trial and as part of a multidisciplinary team with demonstrated ability to work with sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work in accordance with key underpinning frameworks and principles in clinical trials, including GCP and the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
