Senior Cardiac Sonographer
Dubbo Health Service

About the role
At Western NSW LHD you can challenge yourself, make an impact and shape the future of rural health.

We are seeking applications from experienced Cardiac Sonographers / Echo Cardiographers to join our dedicated Cardiology team at Dubbo Health Service providing diagnostic and interventional treatment for people with coronary artery disease, one of the leading causes of mortality in this region.

In addition to their qualifications, the successful candidate must hold current registration with the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry (ASAR).  Overseas candidates will need to be assessed by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) to be eligible for ASAR registration.

This role will provide you the opportunity to utilise your skills in a range of clinical settings, on a variety of patient presentation types including Emergency Department, Coronary Care, Stroke, Medical and Surgical patients.

In 2022 Dubbo Health Service commissioned a brand new Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory demonstrating the growth in cardiology services offered by the facility to the Community.  This position plays an integral role in assisting the diagnostic work-up for patients requiring Diagnostic Angiography and the potential for ongoing coronary intervention.
