Based at Cumberland Hospital, part of Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), you’ll join a service recognised for excellence in mental health care. As NSW’s largest and Australia’s oldest mental health facility, Cumberland Hospital provides comprehensive services from primary to tertiary level, supporting diverse communities across Western Sydney and beyond.

 

You’ll be part of a team leading contemporary, recovery-oriented practice within a major Integrated Mental Health Complex at Westmead.

What you'll be doing 
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide safe, high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to positive client outcomes in a dynamic clinical environment.

  • Deliver direct care in line with individualised care plans

  • Recognise and respond to normal and abnormal clinical observations

  • Escalate clinical concerns and manage variations appropriately

  • Support clients with activities of daily living and emotional wellbeing

  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

 

You will demonstrate accountability within your scope of practice, communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, uphold infection prevention standards, and contribute to a safe, respectful and culturally responsive workplace.

Essential Requirements:

Registration: Current Endorsed Enrolled Nurse Division 2 Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 

 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant and recent clinical experience deemed appropriate by WSLHD

  2. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.

  3. Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal

  4. Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership.

  5. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

  6. Commitment to continuing professional development and demonstrated ability to utilise information technology within a variety of applications and willingness to undertake training.
