Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners eligible for registration in New South Wales for the above position within the Department of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Central Coast Local Health District CCLHD based in Tuggerah.
Applicants should be a Fellow of the Australasian College of Physicians, Paediatrics and Child Health Division and / or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award.
Central Coast is comprised of the twin areas of Gosford and Wyong, positioned between Sydney and Newcastle, which are collectively expected to grow from the current approximate 300,000 to 450,000 population before 2030. The Local Health District has strong connections with both Royal North Shore Hospital and the University of Newcastle.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.

1. Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia, inclusive of an unrestricted 19AB exempted provider number, and recognised specialist qualifications, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Paediatrics and Child Health Division and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
2. Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice in the area of Community Paediatrics and Developmental Paediatrics..
3. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
4. Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or post graduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff
5. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/ continuing professional development
6. Preparedness to participate in an on-call service, if required.
7. Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care team
8. Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align to the NSW CORE values and CCLHD Values and Behaviours charter.
