At Central Coast Local Health District, our vision is clear: Trusted care, better health for everyone.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will apply advanced clinical expertise and independent practice skills to support people living with moderate to severe mental illness under the Mental Health Act. You will manage a complex caseload, provide escalation support, and ensure safe, ethical, person-centred care.
Working within one of our five connected teams, you’ll collaborate with colleagues while leading your own caseload. Based in Woy Woy, your role will focus locally while contributing to care across the wider Central Coast.
About the Opportunity
- You bring advanced clinical expertise and assessment skills, working with independence and assurance while knowing when to escalate and collaborate to achieve the best outcomes. With experience in supporting people with moderate to severe mental illness, you balance autonomy with teamwork to deliver safe, person-centred care.
- Compassion and composure define your practice — you remain calm in complex and challenging environments while providing trauma-informed, ethical, and empathetic care. You see dignity where the world too often looks away, ensuring every individual feels respected, valued, and heard.
- As a dependable team player, you thrive within a connected multidisciplinary service, contributing to collaboration across five integrated teams. Your strong time management, active listening, and digital skills ensure you are reliable, adaptable, and ready to support colleagues and patients alike.
- Motivated by ongoing growth, you embrace challenges with curiosity and a learning mindset, always striving to refine your practice. The heart of your care never clocks out—compassion is your language, and you carry it into every interaction with honesty, kindness, and care.
